Terms & Refund Policy

Tally is a small macOS menu-bar app that shows your Claude.ai session and weekly usage as live rings and alerts you before you hit a limit.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Tally application ("Tally", "the app") and your purchase of a Tally Supporter License ("License") from this website. By downloading the app or purchasing a License, you agree to these Terms. The app is provided by Tal Alfi (TalTools) ("we", "us").

1. The application

Tally is distributed free of charge. All features are available to everyone, with no account and no time limit. The app runs locally on your Mac, uses your own Claude.ai login, and is intended for personal and professional use on devices you own or control. Tally is an independent project and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Anthropic. "Claude" is a trademark of Anthropic.

2. What we sell - the Supporter License

The product offered for purchase on this website is the Tally Supporter License: a one-time digital purchase for users who wish to support continued development.

Tally Supporter License - pay what you want, from $2.99 USD (suggested $9.99), one-time

A single, non-recurring payment - you choose the amount, starting at $2.99. The License:

delivers a personal license key to your email;
turns off the occasional, optional support reminder shown after the first week of use;
marks you as a supporter and funds new features and updates.

The License does not unlock or gate any feature - the app is fully functional without it. It is an optional way to support the project.

A "trial" reference inside the app refers only to this gentle reminder schedule. The app never stops working and no functionality is removed if you do not purchase a License.

3. Payments & billing

All purchases are processed by our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record, Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC). Lemon Squeezy handles payment, billing, and the collection and remittance of applicable taxes. Your order, receipt, and any tax documents are provided by Lemon Squeezy. The Supporter License is a one-time purchase and is not a subscription; you will not be charged on a recurring basis.

4. Refund policy

Because the License is optional and the app is free to use regardless, we keep refunds simple and generous:

You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason.
Email ardour.isolate3@icloud.com from the address used to purchase, with your order number. Refunds are issued through Lemon Squeezy to the original payment method.
Refunds after 14 days are considered case-by-case at our discretion.

5. License terms

A Supporter License is granted to you for personal use and may be activated on the Macs you own or control.
You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publicly share your license key.
The Tally app itself remains free to download and share; these license terms apply to the purchased key only.

6. Privacy

Tally stores only small local preferences on your Mac (such as your alert thresholds and whether you prefer rings or bars). It signs in with your own Claude.ai account and talks only to claude.ai to read your usage; it does not collect, transmit, or sell your prompts, conversations, or any account content. The app's only other outbound connection is a version check to GitHub for in-app updates. Purchase data (name, email, payment details) is handled by Lemon Squeezy under their privacy policy. License validation contacts Lemon Squeezy to confirm a key is valid.

7. Disclaimer of warranty

Tally is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that usage figures shown will always match Anthropic's own accounting.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or the License. Our total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at this page, with the "Last updated" date above.

10. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
